30 years of DTB: A reason to celebrate
German networking association Dialog Textil-Bekleidung celebrates its 30th anniversary on 12 November in Berlin. Boasting the slogan “Living Knowledge Network – Members Committed to Members”, the anniversary event will encompass a series of expert papers, fashion shows and a colourful programme of evening events.
In addition to the papers by ESA International on “Everyone can learn from aerospace” and law firm Kanzlei Noerr LLP on “Industry 4.0 and shifting business sectors”, the programme includes a visit to the Bikini Berlin shopping mall. The organisation that was founded at the premises of Munich-based company Willy Bogner, today comprises 216 members in 10 countries, generating sales in the region of 190 billion euros. The DTB primarily organises working groups on topics such as sustainability, quality, multichannel, sourcing and further training.
It addresses all sections of the textile chain, its main objective being the improvement of quality and cooperation across the industry. Preparations for the celebrations in November are already well under way. The anniversary brochure will be printed shortly and will be included as a loose insert in the next issue of textile network – it’ll be well worth taking a look.
