Adapting to industry cynamics
Munich Fabric Start has announced a strategic change to its summer schedule, with the event now set to take place from 21–23 July 2026. This adjustment, moving the event six weeks earlier, reflects the evolving demands of the textile and fashion industry. By positioning itself as the season's starting point, Munich Fabric Start aims to provide a reliable and timely platform for presenting sample collections, facilitating efficient collection development and early ordering.
Florian Klinder, Managing Director of Munich Fabric Start Exhibitions GmbH, emphasised the importance of this move: “The dynamics of the market require flexible and forward-looking planning. By bringing forward the summer date, we are responding directly to feedback from our partners and ensuring that the sample collections can be presented at the optimal time to guarantee efficient collection creation and ordering.”
A comprehensive approach
The new schedule is part of a broader strategy to align with the industry's collection cycles. Munich Fabric Start will continue to be complemented by the VIEW Premium Selection, which offers two additional dates tailored to different market needs: a late reVIEW and an early preVIEW. Together, these platforms aim to provide the textile sector with flexible and well-coordinated opportunities for product presentation and ordering.
