Strategic Partnership Driving Textile Circularity
With a mission to recycle 2.5 million tons of textile waste by 2032, ReHubs and AMI’s partnership at the Textiles Recycling Expo 2026 highlights the economic and environmental transformation of Europe’s textile industry.
The Textiles Recycling Expo 2026, scheduled for June 24–25 in Brussels, Belgium, marks the continuation of a successful collaboration between ReHubs and AMI. Building on the inaugural edition’s achievements, which attracted over 3,300 attendees, 125 exhibitors, and 56 speakers, the event is set to expand its influence as a global hub for textile recycling innovation.
ReHubs, a synergy-driven alliance, plays a pivotal role in scaling textile-to-textile recycling across Europe. With ambitious goals, including the recycling of 2.5 million tons of textile waste annually by 2032, the organization emphasizes collaboration as the key to achieving these targets. By uniting stakeholders from across the value chain, ReHubs fosters partnerships that accelerate the adoption of recycled fibers, reduce waste, and create economic opportunities.
Economic Benefits of Textile Circularity
The Expo 2026 will feature an expanded floorplan and new showfloor innovations, providing a platform for industry leaders to exchange ideas and showcase breakthroughs in textile circularity. This event is not only a networking opportunity but also a catalyst for economic growth, as it brings together innovators, manufacturers, and policymakers to address challenges and unlock the potential of the recycling sector.
Economic benefits are at the core of the Expo’s agenda. By promoting textile circularity, the industry can reduce reliance on virgin materials, lower production costs, and meet growing consumer demand for sustainable products. Additionally, investments in recycling infrastructure and technology create jobs and strengthen Europe’s position as a leader in sustainable manufacturing.
ReHubs CEO Robert van de Kerkhof underscores the importance of such events: “The Textiles Recycling Expo is critical for connecting stakeholders, exchanging knowledge, and driving ecosystem transformation. Together, we can build a future where textile waste is recycled instead of landfilled or incinerated.”
