If 2024 turns out like 2023, then we will be very happy!
Everyone is talking about AI – in the textile world, we have not seen much it yet, perhaps not yet. Of course, there are technical developments in sewing and embroidery technology that are also exciting because they enable more and more efficient production in Europe.
The textile and clothing industry has been in a difficult situation for decades. We know that far too much is being produced that is not being sold. There is an urgent need to address this development (environment + resources) and it is slowly becoming noticeable. Textile finishing is perhaps the least affected by this, as it is more of a niche market. It is the finishing techniques that enable the individualization of textiles and give the wearer the feeling of being unique. This trend is not new, but it is keeping the industry very stable.
