Apparel Textile Sourcing Germany
American Textile Fair comes in September to Berlin.
Following successes in Canada and the USA, the Apparel Textile Sourcing (ATS) trade fair invites visitors to the Estrel Berlin – Hotel & Congress Center. More than 200 international exhibitors will present clothing, textiles, accessories and services from 11 to 13 September 2019. In addition to established brands, the fair will also target smaller fashion brands. Lecture series, matchmaking events and fashion shows form the supporting program of the industry get-together.
Berlin – the German creative hotspot for fashion in Europe
Apparel Textile Sourcing Germany (ATSG) will take place in Berlin, the German capital and creative hotspot for fashion in Europe. The three-day international sourcing fair enables brands and retailers from Germany and the surrounding region to meet producers from all over the world in one place.
ATSG continues the format of the ATS fairs that started in Toronto, Canada, in 2016. With additional locations in Montreal and Miami, the events have quickly become a fixture in the North American textile industry. The fairs are founded and organized by Jason Prescott, CEO of JP Communications (California, USA) and publisher of the business platforms, Manufacturer.com and TopTenWholesale.com.
Jason Prescott:
“Berlin’s status as a European fashion hub can no longer be overlooked. Every year, dozens of major fashion events take place here, including Panorama Berlin, Berlin Fashion Week, Neonyt and the events of the Premium Group. The German Trade Association and the Foreign Trade Association of the German Retail Trade are also based in Berlin. What has been missing so far is an event that concentrates on the procurement of materials and products from textile factories and ready-made clothing companies – ATSG fills this gap.”
Attractive offers for brands of all sizes
ATSG showcases both Asian and regional suppliers who, in addition to a large selection of fabrics, also present previously unknown techniques for fabric finishing, dyeing processes, unique material combinations and innovative garment constructions.
“We are not only addressing the major market players in this way. We are also addressing the many independent fashion labels that make Berlin so interesting for the fashion world,” explains Jason Prescott.
High-class supporting program
A series of panels and lectures on the current challenges that the industry faces will round off the event. Topics of which will include trade agreements, international trends, marketing, global supply chains and e-commerce. Moreover, matchmaking platforms will facilitate dialogues between brands, retailers and exhibitors, and will encourage one-on-one discussions in a concentrated atmosphere.
China Textiles Brand Show
One of the highlights of the fair will be the “China Textiles Brand Show”, sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China. In addition to manufacturers for the mass market, it will also present producers who serve smaller brands or retailers.
ATSG is supported by the International Apparel Federation (IAF).
Matthijs Crietee, Secretary General of the IAF:
“There is a clear demand for procurement fairs in Europe. As a unique global platform, the IAF is happy to support the ATSG in bringing together executives from all levels of the supply chain.”
