X-Rite Pantone launches Spectura

The portable spectrophotometer platform links colour measurement with digital quality workflows, bringing data from the laboratory to production and reducing manual transfers. Colour decisions need to travel with the measurement.

Colour decisions need to travel with the measurement

Manufacturers coordinating colour across sites, supplier networks and different materials face tighter tolerances and shorter approval cycles. Yet production measurements are still often transferred manually before review. That limits visibility and can slow corrective action.

Spectura, X-Rite Pantone’s new portable sphere spectrophotometer platform, connects colour measurement with digital quality workflows from the laboratory to the production floor. Its aim is to make trusted data available wherever decisions are made.

Measurement and connectivity in one platform

Spectura combines laboratory-level measurement performance with advanced optics, high-definition camera targeting and temperature-aware measurement. The platform also integrates purpose-built accessories, NetProfiler and secure cloud connectivity. Strong agreement with established X-Rite handheld and benchtop systems helps reduce measurement variation and maintain alignment between colour standards and production results.

Cloud connectivity, powered by X-Rite Color iQC, brings colour and instrument performance data into digital quality workflows. Quality managers can review production results in real time, identify issues earlier and reduce rework. A shared source of colour data also supports collaboration across locations and suppliers, while reducing the need for manual transfers.

Three models for different requirements

The range comprises three models: the S60 for portable colour comparison; the S62 for everyday quality control; and the S64 for tighter tolerances and agreement with Ci7800 benchtop spectrophotometers. Hardware, cloud services, NetProfiler and modular applications form a platform designed to build on established standards and practices.

Spectura is available now. A global launch event on 21 October 2026 will demonstrate how the platform connects colour measurement and quality workflows across an enterprise.
