This strategic expansion underscores the company’s commitment to creating real value as a solution provider by fostering innovation and collaboration along the textile supply chain while ensuring responsible and transparent production practices. The opening of NDT marks a significant step in Suedwolle Group’s efforts to offer customers an integrated supply chain in Vietnam. With the combination of its existing worsted spinning mill, Da Lat Worsted Spinning (DWS) and the new dyehouse, customers can now benefit from an optimised supply chain, gaining competitive advantages such as reduced delivery times and improved production efficiency. Product operations at NDT commenced on March 24th.

Advanced dyeing technology for superior performance

NDT is equipped with the latest dyeing technology, designed to ensure high-speed and precise processing while minimising physical impact on the fibre. Compared to traditional new-generation vessels, the dyeing cycle at NDT achieves a 30% reduction in water usage and a 20% decrease in power consumption, thanks to an innovative water flow system utilising smaller pumps. Additionally, automatic dosing of dyestuff ensures the highest level of colour consistency, and all dyestuff and chemicals used are bluesign certified.

Furthermore, the facility has been designed for future automation and robotisation projects, incorporating learnings from Suedwolle Group’s dyehouses in Germany and China. The material flow within the plant has been organised with maximum efficiency in mind, optimising operations for both performance and sustainability. The initial production capacity at NDT is set at 2,000 tons per year, with plans to scale up to 4,000 tons per year in the second phase of development.

Location advantages and specialised workforce

Located in Ninh Thuan province, recognised as Vietnam’s centre of green energy, NDT benefits from an abundance of renewable energy resources. In alignment with Suedwolle Group’s sustainability goals, solar energy projects are underway at the dyehouse, aiming to generate 50% of the facility’s energy needs. These initiatives further reinforce the company’s mission to reduce its environmental footprint while enhancing production capabilities.

NDT employs around 90 employees, with key personnel having undergone extensive training in Suedwolle Group’s German and Chinese dyehouses. The start-up phase has been supported by expertise and knowledge transfer from these locations, ensuring that the highest industry standards are implemented from the outset.
