Aluula´s patented manufacturing process produces textiles with a remarkable range of properties: durability, light weight, airtightness, waterproofing, UV resistance and recyclability. These adhensive-free mono-polymer composites are examples of clean technology, ensuring that they can be recycled at the end of their useful life. This is in line with Michelin´s comprehensive sustainability strategy, which prioritises the conservation of natural resources, the fight against global warming and the protection of biodiversity. “We are thrilled to work with Michelin, one of the world leaders in innovation, and to be providing high-performing materials that meet the unique needs of this project,” said Sage Berryman, President of Aluula. “This initiative is an opportunity for both Michelin Inflatable Solutions and Aluula to create something really exciting together.”

The significance of this collaboration extends far beyond the industry; it addresses a pressing global issue. With plastic pollution wreaking havoc on ecosystems, the need for sustainable alternatives is more urgent than ever. The joint effort between both companies represents a decisive step towards a circular economy, in which materials are reused, recycled and repurposed to reduce the environmental impact of industrial processes.

In conclusion, as the world grapples with the impact of unchecked plastic production, initiatives like this collaboration are more important than ever. By combining innovation and sustainability, it is not just making materials, it is about shaping a future where performance and environmental responsibility go hand in hand. Furthermore, Aluula´s innovation is driven by a deep understanding that equipment does not need to sacrifice performance for sustainability.
