Vicunha Europe is back at Munich Fabric Start and Denim by Premiere Vision
Vicunha makes a comeback to the European fairs with a bang! Besides its presence at the upcoming Munich Fabric Start from 2nd to 3rd February 2015, this Brazilian denim manufacturer will also show at the Denim by Premiere Vision between 27th and 28th May 2015 in Paris.
"In the past few years we have invested about 600 million USD in our factories and state-of art technology. The Brazilian currency, Real, has seen sharp devaluation against the American dollar these past few months. With a weak Real, products gain competitive advantage and significance overseas. Thus it has become attractive again and it's just the right time for strengthening investment in Europe. At Vicunha we are set to launch at full throttle on the fairs" says Thomas Dislich, Managing Director Vicunha Europe, by way of elucidating on the company's comeback to the European trade fair arena. Backed by mega events such as the soccer World Cup last year and the Olympic Games in 2016 Brazil presents itself and its domestic industry with conviction. VICUNHA will exhibit trends for the Spring/Summer 2016 season in the 30 sq m Blue Zone C1 stand at Munich Fabric Start held between 2nd and 3rd February 2015. A 60 sq m stand has been booked for Denim by Premiere Vision in Paris between 27th and 28th May 2015. "We are delighted to be back in Munich and Paris. As the founding member and an exhibitor since inception at the Munich Fabric Start our connect with the trade fair is rooted. Intense work put in by our sales team under Julien Eickelmann the last time around, especially with German clients, goes to show that it is befitting we re-engage at European fairs", opines Thomas Dislich.
Back to the roots
A reconceived Brazilian collection reworked to the core will go on display. Notably, the use of latest technology in Vicunha products will take centre stage. Dual FX in stretch, Athletic denim by virtue of its weave patterns crossing over very much into the realm of knitwear and Yoga denim as the super-stretch product are the highlights here. Clean and cool is the tagline that this denim colossus goes by, for, the highest international standards in environmental protection, social responsibility, recycling and sustained clean production are of the highest priority for this company and account for the prominence of this denim powerhouse internationally. Meanwhile, production has switched over to BCI cotton entirely. Control Union certified cotton recycling is yet another seal of approval. The trade fair lined up next in Asia is the third edition of the B2B trade fair Denimsandjeans in Dhaka, Bangladesh, on the 1st and 2nd of March 2015. Even here, VICUNHA acts as founder member of this niche trade fair to further promote the meet for people in the trade. The second edition held in October 2014 itself presented the 1,450 visitors from over 460 companies with the right mix of top executives from the realm of retailing and brands, country managers of big departmental stores, designers, buyers, sourcing heads and merchandisers. This time around Vicunha will in fact participate in the first catwalk ever for this platform.
