Boss launches Eightyards
German fashion company Hugo Boss AG (PLC) establishes an independent company called Eightyards, which specializes in the recycling and reuse of the surplus materials from the group’s fashion brands. Operations to be kicked off in January 2025.
In a statement, Hugo Boss said: “Eightyard‘s mission over the coming years is to establish itself as one of the key facilitators for the recycling and reuse of surplus materials such as yet not only fabrics into various industries beyond fashion.” The company concept has been developed to be “strategically aligned with Hugo Boss' comprehensive commitment to sustainable and resource-conserving production processes.” Eightyards will be led by director Marketa Miltenberger and Co-Director Placido Klitzke, both from Hugo Boss.

Headquartered in Metzingen/Germany, listed at Frankfurt Stock Exchange, Group sales and EBIT of Hugo Boss PLC in 202 adjusted for currency effects increased by 18% to a record level of 4.2 bn. € (4.54 bn. US$). EBIT increased by 22% to 410 mio. € (442.8 mio.US$); the EBIT margin rose by 60 basis points to 9.8%. With its two brands “Boss” and “Hugo”, the Group offers collections at around 7,800 points of sale in 131 countries and online in 73 countries. The company employs around 19,000 people worldwide.
