A new era
The Dürkopp Adler Group presents pioneering system solutions for industrial sewing at the Texprocess 2019.
“What we will show can be compared with the huge leap from the first mobile phone to the Smartphone,” signals Thomas Brinkho, Director of Marketing at the Dürkopp Adler Group. Interested visitors to the trade fair will discover – live – the secret hidden behind this very promising announcement. "Considering the possibilities of our new innovation, we can definitely talk of a ground breaking development for the entire textile and leather processing industry.”
On about 1,000 m² of exhibition space the industry leader will introduce impressive innovations for the most modern sewing and welding technology, relevant to the current trends in the manufacture of textiles: Individualisation, digitalisation and automation – translated into innovative solutions for the production of clothing, automotive interiors, soft furnishings, leatherwear, denims and technical textiles.
Intelligent Industry 4.0 solutions
At the Texprocess, the Dürkopp Adler Group also presents QONDAC as the most efficient system for optimising production in the textile industry. Machine and process data provide the key to effectively increasing productivity and illustrating new business models. The plug-and-play network solution QONDAC monitors the significant data of all connected machines in real-time, controls the automated setting of work stations and facilitates an extraordinary improvement in performance and quality in the shortest of implementation times.
As the only supplier worldwide, Dürkopp Adler is therefore in a position to network machines irrespective of age or construction and demonstrates this live with a digitised production chain of welding and sewing machines from its own group of companies. QONDAC is also an elementary part of the “micro-factory” presentation of the German Institute for Textile and Fibre Research (Deutsches Institut für Textil- und Faserforschung, DITF) in Hall 4.1.
Robot-assisted sewing
The sewing expertise of Pfaff Industrial and the handling know-how of KSL are combined in two new robotics applications, which will be presented at the Texprocess. Using state-of-the-art and precise robotics and control technology, two specific applications in the clothing and automotive sectors are used to automate entire processes and reduce operator intervention to a minimum. New and trend-setting in the clothing application – the assembly (insertion + removal) and the automatic seam tracking (curve seam) is implemented with one robot cell.
In the automotive application, developed in dialogue with well-known automotive suppliers, a 3D sewing head robotically controls the fully automatic sewing of slash skins on dashboards. In addition, KSL will show two turning-head CNC sewing units with the new Vision System.
Connecting and sealing – without a needle and thread
At the fair, Pfaff Industrial and KSL will be presenting a new generation of ultrasonic sealing machines that set new standards in terms of application spectrum, seam quality and operability. With the new “Pfaff 8311” machines, the enterprise intends to underpin and expand its technological leadership in textile processing with ultrasonic technology. When sealing seams and applying reflective tape, two new types of machines will be shown, based on new approaches developed in cooperation with the companies 3M and Tesa.
