For the spring/summer collection 2019, Lanius is implementing three natural dyes based on five plant extracts. Additional colours will be added successively.

Natural Dyeing – Environmentally friendly with no chemical additives!

Naturally dyed clothing is barely represented in green fashion because it has been difficult to achieve reproducible results. Natural Dyeing is the culmination of six years of intensive research and development work by the company’s production partner in Korea.

Claudia Lanius:

“Our manufacturing partner has so far invested around EUR 30m in the project for the industrial production of natural dyes. It has state-of-the-art machinery that has been developed specifically for dyeing with natural dyes. I firmly believe in this project and am proud to be one of the first in Germany to be involved.” The Natural Dyeing dyes are extracted directly from plants and blossoms. During the dyeing process, energy savings of up to 30 percent can be achieved whilst water pollution is slashed by 97 percent compared to conventional dyeing methods.
