54 square metres in Hall 8: full range on show

Texprocess 2026 took place in Frankfurt am Main from April 21 to 24, 2026. Gunold exhibited in Hall 8, Booth E20, with 54 square metres of stand space - a 20% increase compared with the previous event. The company presented its full portfolio, from threads and embroidery backings to films, specialty materials and accessories. According to Gunold, sustainable options in threads and backings drew particularly strong interest.

GOTS and OEKO-TEX as decision markers

Gunold highlights its Cotty Bio cotton thread. The cotton used is grown, twisted and dyed in accordance with GOTS certification. Downstream process steps - such as winding of the final make-ups and application of a lubricant - also meet the limits required by GOTS (V6.0) for "ingredients and accessories". Cotty is also available undyed.

The company also reports significant interest in three new sustainable tear-away stabilisers made from natural fibres for stabilising during the embroidery process. One variety is biodegradable. All three are produced within the EU, are OEKO-TEX certified and are offered as pre-cut sheets in plastic-free packaging. The pre-cuts can be taken directly from the stack, hooped and processed; after embroidery, the backing can be torn away cleanly.

Finishing services: laser, engraving, sublimation

Alongside materials, Gunold emphasised its services in laser cutting, engraving and sublimation. The company names precise laser cutting, engraved surfaces and custom finishing solutions for textiles, patches, labels and accessories, including on materials such as felt, leather or softshell.

Marketing Director Stephan Gunold says the company is very satisfied with the trade show and is cautiously optimistic about further market developments.
