Interface between research institutions and industry
The Aachen-Dresden-Denkendorf International Textile Conference (ADD-ITC), one of the most important textile conferences in Europe, will take place in Stuttgart from November 21 to 22, 2024.

The conference brings together over 500 experts from the fields of textile chemistry, finishing and functionalization, textile mechanical engineering and composites to discuss the latest developments. This year’s partner countries are Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg and are represented with several presentations. The program consists of over 70 plenary and keynote presentations and special symposia in three parallel sessions. The following topics are the key focus:
Textile Mechanical Engineering
Biobased Fibers
High Performance Fibers
Fiber Composites and Lightweight Construction
Circular Economy and Recycling
Medicine and Health
Functionalization and Finishing
The transfer session “From idea to practice” rounds off the program. In this session, innovations (products, technologies, processes) are presented that have been successfully transferred from national research collaborations to industry.
Networking is not neglected either: There is an opportunity to exchange ideas in the foyer during every break, discover new findings in the round about 100 scientific posters on display or make direct contact with companies and research institutions in the exhibition.
