Stable visitor attendance in Munich
The event offered many visitors a clear overview of key developments. Around 1,000 collections highlighted how colour, structure and new materials are shaping the start of the Spring.Summer 27 season.
A clearer view in uncertain times
At the MOC Munich, international fabric and accessory suppliers presented their developments for Spring.Summer 27. Organisers reported stable visitor numbers, a relevant indicator in the current economic climate. For many brands, the trade fair served as a reliable platform to assess colour concepts, materials and finishing approaches.
Colour and texture gain relevance
Across the collections, colour is becoming more prominent, ranging from bright blues to new pastel tones. Transparent and fluid fabrics such as lightweight chiffons expand the range. Tactile surfaces and structured materials are moving into focus, creating a more sensory-driven material landscape than in previous seasons.
Prints and patterns as key drivers
Striped designs, florals, naive paisley, abstracted animal motifs and geometric patterns stood out as central themes. For eveningwear, light materials and bright prints remain important. In colour trends, brown tones shift towards toffee and camel, combined with soft pink or yellow accents.
A working platform for sourcing
Buyers used the event to finalise developments, review samples and discuss delivery schedules. Brands such as Seidensticker, Hugo Boss and Digel were on site. The collections offered concrete direction on materials and finishes relevant for the season, while price and margin remained central considerations for many suppliers.
Regulation and technology shape discussions
Digital Product Passport requirements, data consistency, circularity and the role of AI were dominant topics within the conference programme. Panels and round tables outlined the level of adaptation expected from 2026 onwards. The Keyhouse showcased solutions for transparency and circular systems, including digital authentication tools and new take?back models.
Denim between structure and imperfection
In the Bluezone, sustainable materials and innovative surfaces defined the picture. The discussed trend of denim imperfection emphasised intentionally irregular aesthetics, countering the hyper?precision associated with AI. Manufacturers such as Calik Denim presented innovations ranging from stretch technologies to water?free dyeing methods.
