A new manufacturing site is taking shape in Alexandria’s Amreya Public Free Zone. The mill is planned as an integrated location where fabric design and production come together. The focus is on polyester and synthetic materials commonly used in sportswear. Output is directed toward brands serving the US and EU markets, as stated in the announcement.

Environmental measures built into the facility

Environmental performance is embedded into the design of the project. Lower-impact machinery and energy-efficient equipment form part of the set-up. Water and power use are intended to be reduced, supported by environmental management systems designed for continuous monitoring and operational optimisation. According to the release, these measures align with recognised international sustainability standards. Paradise Textiles intends to apply the same environmental approach used at its Vietnam site to ensure consistency across locations.

Financing and strategic intent

The project is supported by a US$72 million financing agreement with Commercial International Bank-Egypt. Paradise Textiles connects this support with confidence in its long-term plans and its investment in future-ready textile manufacturing infrastructure.

Ashok Mahtani, Co-Founder and Chairman of Alpine Group and Paradise Textiles, said: “This project reflects our long-term vision of bringing fabric innovation closer to the needle, strengthening vertical integration and building manufacturing ecosystems that are fit for the future.”

Employment and timeline Around 1,200 jobs are expected to be created over the next two years. Phase one of the facility is scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2026. Once operational, the site is expected to run on renewable energy through a power-purchase agreement. The company also plans to follow the environmental standards used at its Vietnam site, creating consistency across its operations.

Regional role

According to the announcement, the development is expected to strengthen Egypt’s position as a strategic textile manufacturing hub.
