Approximately 100 exhibitors presented their portfolio to international visitors who travelled to Morocco to attend the event from all over the world.

Moroccan apparel manufacturers can look towards a bright future. European brands and retailers are seeking alternative destinations for production with prices for material, labour and transport increasing at an unprecedented rate. Morocco can offer a wide range of products and services and is therefore in the centre of attention of European companies.

In total, more than 1,000 companies are ready to serve the European market, a large share of which fulfil quality and certification requirements. Labels such as BSCI, GOTS, GRS, SMETA etc. are well established and applied by the manufacturers. Duty free access to the European Market together with swift delivery times and a high level of flexibility underline the strength of the Morocco as an apparel sourcing destination.

infoAid, a foreign trade consultancy, successfully lead a delegation of ten European brands and retailers to Casablanca and to El Jadida to capture potential suppliers and to visit the MIM fair. The members of the delegation covered the fully spectrum, from large to medium sized brands, retailers and sourcing offices wanting to explore what Morocco can offer as a sourcing destination.

Get in touch with potential Moroccan suppliers

This mission was the first of a series of actions to be implemented this year. With the help of international organisations such as the International Trade Centre (ITC), infoAid will bring Moroccan apparel manufacturers to Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden and Denmark. The first of the inbound missions will be implemented in June and will lead the way to Sweden and Denmark. In the autumn of this year, the same groups will be visiting German and Dutch companies to present their products and services. From 30 August – 1 September 2022, a selection of Moroccan companies will be presented at the Prime Manufacturing Solutions fair, hosted as part of the Munich Fabric Start fair, in Munich, Germany. In the meantime, infoAid supports Moroccan companies by providing on-going coaching and market entry support services.
