Ventile reports record sales in France
Sustainable textile manufacturer, Ventile, has reported an 800% increase in total sales in France for the period January – December 2024, marking a record-breaking year for the company in the region.
The surge in demand was driven by a growing appetite for the Ventile Eco range, which represented 95.5% of the total sales in the country for the year. Sales data from the business indicates a strong consumer preference for darker and neutral shades, with colourways Black, Black Navy, Stone, and Stone Beige accounting for 69% of total orders.
Demand for sustainable fabrics continues to rise
The Ventile Eco range was launched in 2019, with the introduction of a line of 100% recycled cotton fabrics. Since then, the range has expanded, adding more choices in organic cotton and cotton blends – all GOTS, GRS and Oeko-Tex certified. This news comes as the demand for sustainable fabrics continues to rise, with consumers and brands increasingly looking for alternative textile solutions. Of the announcement, Ventile Brand Director, Daniel Odermatt said: “We are thrilled to see such a significant surge in demand in one of the world’s fashion capitals. This growth highlights the increasing shift towards high-quality, sustainable textiles, and we’re proud to be part of this movement. We look forward to sharing exciting new partnerships in the coming months that will further cement Ventile’s presence in the French market.”
