Anticipating attendees from Germany and worldwide, Jean-Paul Haessig, President of the Bremen Cotton Exchange, expresses enthusiasm: “I am looking forward to welcoming visitors from Germany and abroad. Bremen has always been a magnet for the cotton family, and we have plenty prepared for them.” The conference aligns within a cotton-focused week, including diverse events leading up to the main conference. Notably, a Textile & Spinners Seminar precedes the event, featuring involvement from various industry organizations and committees such as SEEP and CSITC, as well as other organisations such as the Discover Natural Fibres Initiative and European cotton traders.

Taking place at Bremen´s parliamentary building, the Haus der Bürgerschaft, the conference offers insights into cotton amidst picturesque views of the market square´s historic buildings. Additionally, the renowned Bremer Ratskeller hosts the Bremen Cotton Night, an evening celebrating global cotton community camaraderie.The Bremen Cotton Night is included in the conference ticket. The conference encompasses eleven sessions covering diverse cotton-related topics, embracing digital accessibility by live broadcasting sessions and offering recorded sessions for later viewing.The 2024 conference will for the first time include an entire session dedicated to the subject of ginning. Another session will show opportunities along the way to achieving circularity with the whole range of cotton and mixed textile recycling, combined with technical, economic, and ecological evaluations.
