09.09.25 – Trade fair
Creative area premieres at Performance Days
On October 29 and 30, 2025, Performance Days expands its trade fair concept with a new highlight: the Creative Area featuring the Inspiration Walk. This newly created experience space invites visitors on a curated journey showcasing extraordinary design ideas, material contrasts, and forward-looking impulses.
At the heart of the Creative Area is the Inspiration Walk – a thoughtfully designed path through diverse thematic and design worlds. Visitors are encouraged to linger, gather impressions, and explore new perspectives. In addition to artistic installations, color plays a central role: impressions of the 2027 color palette are presented alongside early color trends for the Fall/Winter 2027/28 season. Similar to the Trend Forum, the Creative Area features a specially curated selection of innovative materials by Nora Kühner and the Performance Days team. These fabrics reflect the core themes of the space and invite visitors to tangibly experience the connection between function, aesthetics, and innovation.
International partnerships - where past meets future
Together with selected partners such as Beams and Utah State University, a multifaceted experience space comes to life. Beams contributes selected heritage models embodying authenticity and iconic outdoor aesthetics. Utah State University provides historical context through detailed descriptions of the pieces, magazines, and archival materials. This interplay of tangible originals, background stories, and modern reinterpretations creates a bridge between past and future. Founded in Tokyo in 1976, Beams evolved from a small store in Harajuku to an internationally influential fashion and lifestyle brand. Known for its distinctive blend of Japanese aesthetics, global trends, and creative collaborations with renowned designers and brands worldwide, Beams curates collections that unite authenticity, individuality, and contemporary spirit, merging streetwear, classic fashion, and iconic outdoor elements.
Bodywear as contrast: Rethinking fashion
A key design feature is the contrast between voluminous outerwear pieces and close-fitting bodywear. This deliberate juxtaposition opens up new silhouettes, style clashes, and creative approaches that highlight the interplay of function, aesthetics, and innovation.
Sustainability & Next Generation in focus
Another focus is the creative reuse of existing garments. Vintage sports and outdoor styles are reassembled to showcase the potential of upcycling and circular thinking. The emphasis lies not only on materials but also on innovative approaches to textile use – complemented by selected works from students of various fashion and design schools, bringing fresh perspectives and experimental approaches to the concept.
With the Creative Area and the new Inspiration Walk, Performance Days makes a strong statement for creativity, reflection, and innovation in the functional textile sector – creating a space where inspiration is not only possible but intentionally experienced.
