Committed to sustainable practices, Melissa Wach aims to advance “Green Financing” at Vaude. The company, known for its ecological and social standards, emphasizes diversity, with the management team now 50% female. Born in the US and originally from Southern California, Wach reports: “I have always been different. At the beginning of my career, I was often the only woman at the table, and I was also a foreigner from a different culture. However, this has also helped me chart my own path.” She shares these experiences with CEO Antje von Dewitz, who remains one of the few female entrepreneurs in the outdoor industry and, 15 years ago, embarked on her own consistently sustainable path, successfully positioning the Vaude brand. Von Dewitz values Wach´s expertise and dedication, foreseeing her key role in shaping Vaude´s future.
